Route 451 is a bluegrass and acoustic roots duo comprised of teen siblings, Sarah Jane and Nathan Crissman. They play a fun blend of bluegrass and gospel standards, old country covers, and other surprises that are sure to entertain!
Sarah Jane plays guitar and sings lead. Nathan plays mandolin and sings harmony.
In 2022, Route 451 has played shows at the Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour, Southland Jamboree, Rosine Barn Jamboree, local festivals, churches, neighborhood gatherings and house shows.
Nathan and Sarah Jane have studied with Scott Napier, and Virgil Bowlin at the Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music, Nathan Jones of Central Music Academy, and Randy Lanham at the Bluegrass Hall of Fame. They also play with the University of Kentucky Bluegrass/Old Time Ensemble under the direction of Ellyn Washburne.
They are proud to call Lexington, Kentucky home.
